"What things so ever": these are precious words. Here heaven is measured by earth, because there is always more power in heaven than the measure that is asked for on earth. There is always more to be released, or taken captive in heaven than we ever ask for down here. Why do we seek deliverance from sin? Why are we always crying to God for endowment with power? To pray "Thy will be done in me" is a good beginning no doubt, but we must go on from there to "Thy will be done on the whole earth."
Today in the Church as the body of Christ, the children of God are taken up with far too smaller things, whereas their prayer should be intended for the release of heaven's mighty acts. Prayer for myself or for my own immediate concerns must lead on into prayer for the Kingdom of God on earth. In this Church as the body of Christ, we should be heaven's outlet, the channel for the release of heaven's miracles and power upon all the earth! We are the vehicle of accomplishment for God's purpose. Many things have accumulated in heaven gathering dust only because God has not yet found an outlet here on the earth. God will never ever walk ahead of our will: unless we choose and ask then God will not act. The Church has not yet really enacted: "Concerning the work of my hands, command ye me" (Isaiah 45:11) We are still praying for things whereas we should be acting in authority and commanding them according to God's will.
